- Don't Let Anxiety Get the Best of You Remember that it's okay to pause before responding. Take a quick second to collect your thoughts (and breathe, obvi!). Your crush will probably appreciate the extra time to get their own thoughts together too.
- Make Small Talk a Breeze! If all else fails, try asking your crush about themselves! Not only is it a great way to steer the conversation away from awkward silences, but you'll also learn more about this person and what makes them tick (bonus points for interesting conversations!).
